Symbolic Sermon

Three weeks ago today, on April 26, 2015, I believe that the Lord taught a symbolic sermon to the members of the Mount Mahogany 2nd ward in Pleasant Grove.  To many, it may have seemed to be nothing more than power problems, but within the events that occurred that day, I believe there was a message.

As members sat in Sacrament Meeting that day, listening to the speaker, the power went out.  At this very instant in time, the Spirit showed me what was going to happen in this rest of the meeting and what it meant.  It was made known to me that the power would go out three times during that meeting.  The first two times, the power would come back on shortly.  The third time it would stay off for the rest of the meeting.

The power outages were symbolic of what has happened and what will happen.  The first two outages represented warnings of the final outage that would occur.  Also, the first two outages represented the events in 2001 and 2008.  In 2001, we saw the collapse of the symbols of the US financial and military might followed by the largest drop in history to that date of the stock market.  A recovery happened shortly.  In 2008, the country was threatened with a financial crisis and the stock market once again experienced the largest drop in its history.  This time, the effects and impact of these events were felt longer, but a recovery ensued.

Just as the two power outages were warnings of what was to come, the events in 2001 and 2008 have served as warnings of what will happen in this nation.  The third time, when the power went out, it stayed out until after the end of the meeting.  The third time, when financial collapse comes to America, its effects will be felt for a much longer period of time.  While not part of the initial impressions I received during the first power outage, there seemed to be symbolic meaning to what happened in the meeting once the power went out for the third time:  Although everyone sought to continue and press on as they had before, circumstances made it difficult to do so.  The leaders decided in the interest of safety that the members should disband and return home.

After the power came on the first time, I waited, watched, and observed that what the Spirit had just told me about what would happen in sacrament meeting that day - did indeed come to pass just as it had been given.  If you wonder if there is any truth to this, please go and ask God for confirmation.
